1. Introduction & overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Dark Games Studios collects, uses and protects your personal data when you interact with our application, AXIOM, which uses Epic Online Services (EOS) provided by Epic Games, Inc.
2. Data collected via Epic Online Services
To deliver online multiplayer features, social connectivity and regional matchmaking, we request access to the following permissions (scopes) through your Epic Games account:
- Basic Profile (
basic_profile) - always required. Read access to your display name, language preference and linked account display names. Use: displaying your in-game username, setting the interface language and recognizing connected platform accounts. - Online Presence (
presence) - required. Lets the application set your online presence and receive presence updates from your friends. Use: showing your game state in lobbies and updating your availability status for friends in real time. - Friends List (
friends_list) - required. Read access to your friends list. Use: populating your in-game friends list to send party invitations and facilitate group matchmaking. - Country (
country) - required. Read access to the country of your account. Use: routing your connection to the nearest game server for optimal ping and ensuring regional compliance.
We also process the following data to operate the game:
- Epic account identifiers. Your Epic Product User ID. We never receive your password.
- Gameplay data. Match results and statistics, in-match purchases, and your skill rating and ranking (ELO/MMR).
- Technical data. Your IP address and connection data, which game servers need to exchange network traffic with you, and technical logs (server and anti-cheat logs) used to detect cheating and fix bugs.
3. Data usage & retention
All data accessed through Epic Online Services is processed strictly for essential gameplay functionality and real-time social services, including running matches, matchmaking and ranked ratings, keeping the game fair and secure, and maintaining the game.

4. Data sharing & security
- No data sales. We do not sell, rent, lease or trade personal data obtained from Epic Online Services to third parties or advertising networks.
- Who receives data. We share data with Epic Games, as the provider of Epic Online Services, and with the hosting provider that runs our game servers.
- Security. Data transfers between AXIOM and Epic Games servers occur over encrypted channels (TLS/HTTPS). AXIOM never requests, receives or stores your Epic Games account password.
5. User rights & permission revocation
Under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR and CCPA), you have rights regarding the processing of your personal data, such as the right to access, correct or delete it, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
Revoking access. You may revoke AXIOM's access permissions at any time in your Epic Games account settings at account.epicgames.com, under Apps and Accounts. Revoking access will disable online social and multiplayer features within AXIOM.
6. Children
AXIOM is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
